Welcome to the AKC Retriever Hunting Test Exam.

This exam will test your knowledge and understanding of the material found in and the Regulations & Guidelines for AKC Hunting Tests for Retrievers and in the most recent memos listed in the Regulation Resources. 

The exam is for existing Retriever Hunting Test judges only, as part of their ongoing eligibility requirements. If you want to become a Retriever Hunting Test judge, please review the eligibility requirements here. 

There are 50 questions in the exam and you must score a 90% or higher to pass. Once completed, your test score will be permanently noted in your file. 

There is no cost for this exam. Please proceed through the checkout process to complete enrollment in the exam.

Please note – if you fail the exam after two attempts, you must wait 30 days to retake it. Please be sure to understand and know the content before taking this test.
