Groomers pursuing the National Certified Master Groomer (NCMG) credential must complete the Non-Sporting Online Exam + In-Person Practical Evaluation for the Non-Sporting Group conducted by an approved Evaluator.

This course includes the online Non-Sporting Exam and provides access to the Groomer’s Practical Portfolio, where your in-person practical evaluation submission will be securely stored and recorded by AKC Canine College. Upon completion and approval, you will receive a printable digital certificate and a digital badge.

This does not include the cost of the in-person evaluation, as fees may vary by event and evaluator. Upcoming evaluation opportunities can be found on the AKC Canine College Calendar of Events.

Individuals enrolled in the NCMG courses through AKC Canine College will also receive direct notifications regarding upcoming evaluation opportunities. 

If you’re just beginning your journey toward earning the NCMG credential, you may purchase the full NCMG Bundle here ($50 savings), or choose to purchase individual components, including the Terrier (Short- and Long-Legged), Sporting, and Non-Sporting group online exams, that will correspond with in-person practical evaluations for the Groomer's Portfolio on AKC Canine College.
